True there are some elements that back up the media view, but there are also many more positive stories about ladies who do this, not because they are forced to by pimps or to feed drug habits, but because the want to.
There is humour and sadness along the way and the author does well to portray the lives and personalities of his regular ladies.
Along with Belle De Jour (this is the client version) this book brings a much needed balanced view to a subject many people would choose not to discuss.

30 years of paying for sex has created a egotistical misogynistic bitter old man.
Poorly written, boring and no doubt a lot of artistic licence. Shame on for having such garbage available.
Avoid.
Focusses in on the world of UK prostitution from a punters viewpoint. Fascinating, gripping and a candid factual read. At times hilarious, at others quite distressing. I couldn't put it down until I'd finished reading it.
Have to wonder why and how this got published, its rambling, poorly written and boring. The author has seemed to be bored by his own self and the women he paid to (shag) were usually nothing much to look at that continually disappointed him.It is probably a good thing that he can't seem to remember details and in some case's has forgotten the entire event, there's no human interest or anything to be interested in about this pitiful view of a man with a rather tacky sexual hang up.
A well written look into the world of paid sex from the prospective of a punter. It is a eye opener into a world that hides behind closed doors but is probably happening on every street in most big cities. Read as the author recounts his 30 years of experiences and laugh out loud at some of his misfortune some of which really are scary and I am not sure he could laugh at them even now looking back.
There is no media spin here just the frank recount of Nik who lays bare the facts of punting and paid sex and is free from any hysteria which normally accompanies an exposé on prostitution.
